Hi. My name is Julie. I live in Brisbane, Australia. I have just joined and was wondering if there is anyone else from Australia. I am also wondering if anyone can recommend a daylight lamp and where to get one for the floor or to stand on my desk? My room for painting needs more light i think .

    Hello Julie,
Apologies on not getting to your question sooner. Yes, you’re right to go for a daylight lamp. Or, get a daylight bulb for an existing lamp. Many hobby shops sell lamps as sewing or reading lamps, but they are excellent for painting. Also, you could look at lamps for those suffering with SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder. I have this myself and often use my SAD lamp for painting. It’s the same principle as they use daylight LED bulbs. Hope this helps you. We do have students from Australia, but some are a little shy to come on into the forum. We’ll have to try and convince them to come in. 🙂 Best, Jarnie
