Little Wild Rose
The project for July is this beautiful revisit to one of my personal favourites. A while ago I painted The Wild Rose, a larger composition of a Dog Rose including the bloom, buds and leaves. This was quite an undertaking, but it’s still a favourite.
The Wild Rose
In the Little Wild Rose I show you how to take a large composition and focus in on just one element to make a pretty little study. By taking each element of a large subject, and narrowing them down into smaller paintings, we can also use these as preparatory work for larger paintings.
With this one, I just wanted something small for a little frame I had been bought as a gift, but didn’t know what to put in it.
