This painting was created in response to a sense of chaos. The Covid era changed our perception of the world. Restrictions and lockdowns made our movements difficult.

Jarnie found solace in isolated walks and occasional permitted travel. A walk in a park, and the discovery of roses among discarded litter, led to a a sense of awe at nature continuing to thrive. ‘Millwall Park Roses’, formed from a scramble of neglected roses found in an east London park marks this precious moment in time.
